Here at the Raymond High School we have two full concert bands. Our High School Band is an intermediate level ensemble, and our Wind Orchestra is an auditioned group that plays music at a very high level. We also have two full jazz bands and a Samba drumming group that performs at several parades each summer. Our program competes regularly at festivals throughout the province to high esteem. Our students focus on musical excellence while we perform music from every genre and style. We perform at many concerts and activities throughout the year, spreading music around Southern Alberta.
Is a co-curricular program at Raymond High School that welcomes all students, regardless of their level of experience or skill. As a non-auditioned performance choir, we provide a supportive and safe environment where students can learn, collaborate, and grow together as a team. Our program focuses on developing students' music, choreography, and theatre skills while also promoting inclusivity and personal growth. We strive to create an environment that fosters character development and encourages every student to reach their full potential.
Is a choral music course that caters to students who have a passion for music. This program helps novice singers develop confidence while enhancing the technical skills of more seasoned performers. Regardless of genre preference, including jazz, pop, folk, country, or classical, there's a high chance that one's favorite music has been adapted for choir performances. This class emphasizes the fundamental aspects of singing, such as breathing, music reading, listening, and developing vocal and performance abilities.
